Facts About the Skua
INTRODUCTION
Skuas are birds that spend most of their lives on the ocean. They breed in the Arctic and can be found around the North Pole. Outside of the breeding season, they can be found all throughout the world and they migrate very far.
Skuas are omnivorous and feed on a wide range of food sources. They are medium to large birds that are closely related to other sea birds (e.g., gulls). They have very long life spans and aggressively defend their nesting territories.
