Facts About the Poison Dart Frogs
INTRODUCTION
Belonging to the frog family, Dandrobatide, Poison Dart Frogs which are also called Poison Arrow Frogs and Poison Frogs, are found in tropical Central and South America. They are pretty, vibrant and are active during the day.
This color vibrancy is related to the toxicity of the frog itself.
Their bright colors make them less attractive to any potential predators. Their toxic secretions are used to poison blow dart tips (this is why they are also known as dart frogs).
