Facts About the Margay
INTRODUCTION
The Margay is a mammal in the cat family, a beautiful patterned small wild cat that is larger than the normal house cat. They are mostly found in Central and South America and Mexico. Their color ranges from greenish brown to a soft, tawny yellow. The coat is covered with rows of dark spots to open rosettes. You will find them in the rainforests, evergreen, and deciduous forests, while other times they are spotted near the coffee and cocoa plantations. They are known to be shy cats and avoid people.
