Facts About the Long Tailed Macaque
INTRODUCTION
Long tailed macaques are a small monkey that can be found across southeast Asia in a handful of countries like the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar. They have short arms and legs, but very long tails that they use to help keep their balance when jumping high-up in the trees.
They live in groups called troops and there can be anywhere from 16 to 30 monkeys together; sometimes there can be as many as 60 monkeys in a very large troop.
