Facts About the Flying Squirrel
INTRODUCTION
Flying squirrels can be found all over the world, but the name “Flying Squirrel” is inaccurate. Flying squirrels cannot actually fly like birds, bats, or insects, but they can glide in the air that they catch under a loose fold of skin between their front and back legs. They might more correctly be called “gliding squirrels.” Some can even be tamed to become companion pets for humans.
