Facts About the Dung Beetle
INTRODUCTION
Dung Beetles fly around looking for poop of herbivores like cows or elephants! In Ancient Egyptian culture the dung beetle was very highly respected. They called them “scarabs” and thought that they kept the world turning like a huge ball of dung which linked the beetles with the God of the rising sun, Khepri. The dung beetles can be found on every single continent except for Antarctica.
