Facts About the Abyssinian
INTRODUCTION
The Abyssinian Cat is considered to be one of the oldest domestic cats in the world. Studies reflect that they were bought and sold by traders on the banks of the River Nile in long ago times. This was when the African Wild Cats (the ancestors of all domestic Cats) lived free in their native habitats there. They are easily identified because their “ticked” fur which means their coat normally does not have stripes or spots.
